With the pandemic keeping us close to home, the domestic clutter has just gotten even worse! Kastens Group decided to hold a community event to help Aliana residents clean up for a good cause.
We teamed up with the Fort Bend Women’s Center to park its truck in the neighborhood, and we nearly filled it! The event was so successful, we may hold another event in the Fall. Neighbors donated everything from bikes, to clothes, to dining room chairs!
To encourage participation, each person who donated to the FBWC truck was entered into a raffle for a gift card to Texas Roadhouse, another company we partner with. The Fort Bend Women’s Center is a non-profit organization located right here in Richmond, Texas.
For 40 years it has been providing hope to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assualt in the Houston Area. Donations built inventory in it’s three retail locations to help raise money for the cause.
